Bolton, Al.
A California Country Pottery.
Mendocino; The Center Press: 1976. Edition of 1000 numbered and signed copies. Al Bolton shares his experiences opening and operating the Greenwood Pottery. It's a heartfelt, personal book, the sort that potters are apt to write after a decade or so at the wheel. There are lots of photos of Bolton's pots- he has an Asian bent, and likes ash glazes, and does good work. Hardcover. 8.5"x11", 107 pages, some b/w and many tipped-in color plates; a near fine copy. The only real problem is that, as in many books with tipped-in plates, the glue they used is beginning to bleed through the backs of the pages -not badly, but there it is.
