American Poets Birthday Book Dark green cloth hardcover, 6 x 4 1/2. In VG condition, a little bumped and worn. There is a page for each day of the year (including February 29th). On each page, the date, four lines for the names o f people whose birthdays fall on that day, and two quotes from American poets, notably Longfellow and Emerson, the rest obscure (at least to this author). Names have been written in in quite a few of these, in spidery black ink. Probably from around 1915. Less convenient but prettier than a Palm Pilot for keeping track of birthdays.
